What is Sampaloc Awards?
Well, I brained this as a counterpart of Hollywood's RASPBERRY AWARDS which gives awards to those movies that are worstly made and stupidly created. Well, this is not to discourage Filipino filmmakers but to help them create a better idea on their next film and to let them know about the sentiments and comments of small movie enthusiasts like me.

It started last year with JERICHO ROSALES bagging most major acting awards while GMA Film and Regal's revisioning of MULAWIN into a movie garnered the major movie awards (which was then followed by Star Cinema's PACQUIAO The Movie).You can view last year results by browsing on the archives of www.bloodythoughts.co.nr

This year,SAMPALOC AWARDS will hold it's 2nd awarding with much broader coverage,more categories and more nominees.!!!

THE SYSTEM

The winners will be determined by:

50%- Online Votes
50%- Moderator's choice

The best loser for this year is OctoArts' Enteng kabisote 3: The Legend Goes On and On and On with 4 awards, while Jennylyn Mercado scores another stink with one award and one runner-up.

(I decided not to give awards in the field of television (even though some voted via online) to maintain the image of the Philippine Sampaloc Awards as strictly for movies only. But, I don't stand firm with my decision, maybe next year I would open again the votation but to ensure all of you, the 3rd Philippine Sampaloc Awards will have more surprises and excitement!)
